The qualification work outlines the concept of synesthesia and its development, describes its genre specificity, traces the influence of historical and sociocultural factors on the formation of features of this concept, analyzes from modern positions the dynamics of historical change of synesthesia terminology, reflecting the content of the phenomenon at different stages of its study. synesthesia in general, the conditions for the formation of synesthetic metaphors are determined, the influence of the phenomenon of synesthesia on the work of G. The work is devoted to the study of the role of dialects of the English language in literary texts and to identify and explain the functions and role of dialectal vocabulary in Amy Tan’s Literary Text "The Joy Luck Club".Item ЗАСОБИ ВИРАЖЕННЯ МИСТЕЦЬКИХ РЕАЛІЙ ТА ЇХ ВІДТВОРЕННЯ У ПЕРЕКЛАДІ(2021) Козонак, А. В.В даний час проблема перекладу реалій̆ вважається однією з найактуальніших та найскладніших у міжкультурному аспекті перекладу та дослідженнях національно-культурної̈ специфіки мови і мовленнєвої̈ діяльності. В даній роботі розглянуто сутність і значення поняття мистецьких реалій та з’ясовано, що найбільш точне формулювання цього терміна відтворено в наступному визначенні: це слова (і словосполучення), що називають об'єкти, характерні для життя (побуту, культури, соціального і історичного розвитку) одного народу і чужі іншому, оскільки вони є носіями національного і / або історичного колориту, вони, як правило, не мають точних відповідників (еквівалентів) в інших мовах, і, отже, не піддаються перекладу на загальних підставах, вимагаючи особливого підходу. В роботі визначені основні чотири способи перекладу реалій: транслітерація, створення нового слова, уподібнений та гіпонімічний переклад. Проаналізовано особливості перекладу мистецьких реалій в текстах англійськомовних художніх текстів Джейн Остін та Марка Хеддон. В ході проведеного дослідження встановлено, що характер та особливості тексту мови оригіналу, місце й значення реалій в тексті, культура перекладача, його досвід та отриманні знання відіграють важливу роль під час вибору способу перекладу. Nowadays, the problem of translation of realities is considered one of the most relevant and challenging in the intercultural aspect of translation and studies of national-cultural specificity of language and speech activity. In this paper, the essence and meaning of the concept of fictional realities are considered. It is found that the most accurate formulation of the term is reproduced in the following definition: these are words (and phrases), naming objects characteristic of life (everyday life, culture, social and historical development) of one people and alien to another, as they bear national and historical colors, they usually have no exact match (equivalent) in other languages and, therefore, cannot be translated on general grounds. The paper identifies the four main methods of translation of realities: transliteration, creation of a new word, assimilation, and hyponymic translation. The peculiarities of the translation of fiction realities in the texts of English fiction texts of Jane Austen and Mark Haddon were analyzed. In the course of the study, it was found that the nature and characteristics of the text language, place and importance of realities in the text, the culture of the translator, his experience, and the acquired knowledge play an essential role in the choice of the method of translation.
