У статті увага приділяється символіці вірша Т.С. Еліота “Burbank with a Baedeker: Bleistein with a Cigar” та особливостям її відтворення у перекладі В. Топорова. Мета статті передбачає встановлення особливостей відтворення символів вірша у зазначеному перекладі.The article deals with the symbolic context of the poem by T.S. Eliot “Burbank with a Baedeker: Bleistein with a Cigar” and its reproduction while translating into Russian by V. Toporov. The purpose of the article consists in establishing the peculiarities of reproducing the main symbols of the poem by the above mentioned translator.
