The qualification thesis examines the psychological state of the civilian population living under conditions of military occupation, taking into account value-meaning orientations, the level of social isolation, and chronic stress. The study provides a theoretical analysis of contemporary scientific approaches to understanding the psychological state of an individual in the context of war and occupation, and highlights the role of life-meaning orientations, social isolation, and chronic stress as key factors of psychological functioning. The empirical research was conducted on a sample of civilians residing in temporarily occupied territories. The findings indicate that younger respondents demonstrate higher levels of chronic stress and loneliness, as well as lower levels of life-meaning orientations compared to middle-aged individuals. At the same time, moral injury and social tension are elevated in both groups, with no statistically significant age differences. Correlation analysis revealed a relationship between decreased meaningfulness of life and increased psychological distress. Based on the obtained results, a psychological support program was developed, aimed at reducing stress levels, overcoming social isolation, restoring value-meaning orientations, and enhancing the sense of control over one’s life.
