В.Незалежно від рівня розвитку мовлення, при аутизмі в першу чергу страждає можливість використовувати її з метою спілкування. Слід підкреслити, що відхилення від нормального розвитку помітні вже на стадії предмовленнєвого розвитку. Спектр мовленнєвих розладів варіює від повного мутизма до випереджаючого (порівняно з нормою) розвитку. У дітей з аутизмом порушено формування всіх форм до вербального і невербального спілкування. Скоріше за все, у таких дітей не формується зоровий контакт, дитина не дивиться в очі дорослого, не простягає ручки з німим проханням, щоб його взяли на руки, як це робить здорова дитина вже на першому етапі соціально-емоційного розвитку.
