А.Робота присвячена вивченню стилістичних прийомів та виразових засобів, які постають актуалізаторами жахливої атмосфери у романі С. Кінга «Зелена миля». У роботі окреслено поняття «жахлива атмосфера» у сучасних лінгвістичних дослідженнях та засоби його вираження; виявлені основні стилістичні прийоми та виразові засоби, спрямовані на актуалізацію жахливої атмосфери у романі С. Кінга «Зелена миля». Увагу приділено домінантним стилістичним прийомам та виразовим засобам створення жаху. The work is devoted to the study of stylistic devices and expressive means, which appear as actualizers of the horrible atmosphere in S. King's novel "Green Mile". The concept of the «horrible atmpsphere» in modern linguistic research and its expression in text are outlined in the thesis; the main stylistic devices and expressive means aimed at actualizing the terrible atmosphere in S. King's novel "Green Mile" are revealed. Attention is paid to the dominant stylistic devices and expressive means of creating horror.
