The work deals with the functions of character speech of the art work, the role of character speech in the creation of artistic images and the expression of the ideological and artistic content of the fiction narrative on the example of C. Dickens' story "A Christmas Carol in Prose". Particular attention is paid to the study of the linguistic and stylistic features of the novel "A Christmas Carol in Prose" by the English writer Charles Dickens.Item ДИСКУРСИВНА ОСОБИСТІСТЬ СУЧАСНОГО ПОЛІТИКА (НА МАТЕРІАЛІ ПОЛІТИЧНИХ ПРОМОВ БОРИСА ДЖОНСОНА ТА РІШІ СУНАКА)(2023) Іванова, К. С.Кваліфікаційна робота присвячена дослідженню дискурсивної особистості сучасного політика. У роботі розкрито поняття дискурсивної особистості в мовознавстві. Описано роль мови та риторики в політиці. Охарактеризовано специфіку політичних промов Бориса Джонсона та Ріші Сунака. В рамках цього дослідження виявлено, яким чином ці політики використовують мовні засоби для формування свого іміджу та впливу на громадськість. Також, робота передбачає порівняльний аналіз дискурсивних стратегій Б. Джонсона та Р. Сунака з метою виявлення спільних та відмінних особливостей їхнього мовного стилю та комунікативного підходу. У роботі застосовано загальнонаукові та безпосередньо лінгвістичні методи, релевантні для вивчення дискурсивної особистості політика. The qualification work is devoted to the research of the discursive personality of a modern politician. The work reveals the concept of discursive personality in linguistics. The role of language and rhetoric in politics is described. The specifics of the political speeches of Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak are characterized. As part of this study, it was revealed how these politicians use language tools to shape their image and influence the public. Also, the work involves a comparative analysis of the discursive strategies of B. Johnson and R. Sunak in order to identify the common and distinctive features of their language style and communicative approach. The work uses general scientific and directly linguistic methods relevant to the study of the discursive personality of a politician.
